Chapin, SC is a small town in northern Lexington County, with a portion of its growth corridor extending into Newberry County. It sits roughly 24 miles northwest of downtown Columbia along Interstate 26 and serves as the primary gateway community for the northern shore of Lake Murray, a 50,000-acre reservoir with more than 500 miles of shoreline.
